As the eyelash growth product pioneer, Jan Marini's reputation speaks for itself. It was a sad day when her Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner was discontinued. Her new Marini Lash has been out for a while now so I thought it was worth taking a look at it, especially since I couldn't find many Marini Lash reviews. It's ironic, and definitely worth noting, that Jan's original active ingredient that caused her so many headaches with the FDA has now been reintroduced in a prescription-only product. Patents and lawsuits aside (and I'm no lawyer here) whatever Jan had to do when she changed formulas, I wish she could change it back.
Now, in true Jan Marini style, this product did work as she said it would. I can honestly say I didn't have to convince myself that my lashes were longer or thicker. Other people noticed also. I do think though, that truthfully, it just didn't work as well as the first formulation. One of the things I noticed most with the original was that I also grew a lot of new eyelashes besides longer and fuller ones. Funny - I guess to me it always seems like the reformulations are never as good as the original.
Once I started using Marini Lash, it was a slow start, but I could definitely tell a difference in about 3 weeks. My lashes did look a little longer and there was a bit more thickness(most evident with mascara). There was no irritation at all. In fact, after about 12 weeks I could tell that my mascara went on much more smoothly. (I could put on 2 coats instead of 4 or 5 like I used to do every day.) I won't say this is a miracle product like some others I have used, including Jan's herself, but it did do what I expected and I'm pretty happy with the results. The price tag of $160 is the same as it was with the original but it feels higher to me than before. Maybe its my expectations that were too high. With some online deal shopping I would buy this product again.
