My story:
My friends and I are total cosmetic junkies. You name it, we have tried it--and usually we try the same things and get the same results. Well, finally we got smart. Now, we just divide out the products we want to try up and see which one works best.
This time, we started with eyelash products since I was having a lot of trouble with eyelashes. It seemed like every time I looked in the mirror they looked shorter and shorter—they had to be breaking off and falling out. I was not about to give up my lashes if there was something I could do about it.
So like anyone else, I started looking around. With tons of options and no real authority to help me decide, this was the perfect opportunity for us to try them all out. And, since some of the main ones were pretty popular, we wanted to give them a second shot, just to make sure the results were realistic.
Once we tried them all, I talked my husband, the web designer, into putting this site up for me so we could share this information with everyone else out there.
This site is a product of our own personal results. This site is NOT endorsed by any of these products, but our own personal feelings on them. We will be adding more as we try more products - so keep checking back.
Good luck and we hope this helps with your search!

Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner
Ranking for overall value: 3.5 stars
User friendly: 80% (easy application, but very irritating)
cost: $160
amt: .2oz
Hey everyone!! We have heard about a PR that is out saying that the FDA seized some of the "old" Jan Marini eyelash conditioner. This was product that was produced nearly two years ago when Jan Marini was still using bimatoprost (not allowed by the FDA). They have discontinued that and reformulated it since then--and the newer formula is what we used for this review!
Jan Marini definitely knows what she is doing. I used some of her other skin care products before and they were great. Just like other products from Jan Marini, this one really does work!
Now, it did totally sting when I applied it to my upper lid. I was not a happy camper about that one! Usually her stuff is really well done without any side effects. That was a little disappointing.
BUT—I did see an improvement in my lashes in just 2 months. They were getting longer! I also saw more fullness than I had before I can definitely say that this product worked for me!
***NOTE*** for sensitive eyes: it is quite irritating. Mine are ok right now even with the irritation, so I am going to keep using this for another month or so and see how much more they will grow!
Melissa C.
When Lisa asked me to help her try some eyelash conditioning products I was curious about this one. I saw it in my salon every month when I went to get my hair done, but with the price tag of $160, I just wasn't sure that a little bitty tube of "magic juice" would really be worth it. Lisa's experiment finally gave me the excuse I needed to check it out.
It was easy to use, I just applied it like a liquid eyeliner, but it was very irritating. I ended up having to skip several days to give my eyes a break from it. I got online to see what was causing the irritation, but I am no chemical engineer J and I really couldn’t figure anything out. But, when I was online I saw that there were some others who had experienced the irritation, too.
When I was looking around at the message boards I also saw that this product had been taken off the market for a while. I didn’t really get the full story, but I did see that when it came back, there was a different active ingredient. I wonder what the difference in the two would be?
As far as results go, I did have to skip some days due to the irritation. So I think my results have been slightly delayed. After two months, I can tell a difference. My lashes definitely seem thicker and a little longer, although it doesn’t look over-the-top lash tangling length like some people have gotten with this product. The message boards were very positive and pretty much all said you have to wait at least 2-3 months for real results.
I wouldn't say this is a lifesaver, but I have seen some results. If you are willing to put up $160 for a little tube of "conditioner" for your lashes, it does seem like they are really looking healthy and thick. Maybe three months is the kicker? I'll keep you posted.

So listen up ladies! I almost got left out of this little female bonding ritual! You better believe I wasn’t gonna stand for that one! By the time I heard about it, everyone already had a product they were testing. Good thing I am well-connected—ha.
I actually have a sister-in-law that has a salon and she told me about a new product that had just hit the market. This was in August, and I got it as soon as it came out and started to test it out. After almost two months, I am starting to think I hit the jackpot with this one.
I applied it directly to my lashline and didn't experience any burning at all. I used it every morning right before I put on my mascara. I won't say I saw anything shocking in the first week or two, but round about week 3 I noticed some thickening and after 6 weeks. It looked like my lashes were really growing. OH YEAH!! My lashes—not falsies!
Even though I didn’t really know how to measure my lashes to be sure of the difference, I could tell how much mascara I used. Before, I would put on at least 2-3 coats. Now, I am only putting a light coat on and they look thicker and longer than they did before.
I wanna be completely fair here and I have to admit that Lilash is definitely on the pricey side. It is comparible with the Jan Marini and Revitalash, but it still definitely is not cheap!
Now, I haven’t quite gotten through the 8 week mark, but from my experience with it, I would definitely say that it works, doesn’t irritate my eyes and it’s definitely worth it!
Elaine J.
Thank you Dr. whoever came up with this product! I am totally singing your praises. I am so happy with the results I have seen. At almost two months, I can tell a huge difference in my lashes. I had no problems with it. No burning or stinging at all.
My lashes are much longer and thicker. They almost look like eyelash extensions. Everyone I see is asking me what I have been using. I am so glad Lisa called me in for this one!
I gotta agreee with Elaine though! The cost is a bit higher than most of my cosmetic purchases…but I can see results and that is what is important!

REVITALASH Eyelash Conditioner
Ranking for overall value: 2.5 stars
User friendly: 75% (very irritating)
cost: $150
amt: .13oz
Since Revitalash was my product for this review, I go back to the site every once in a while to see what's new so I can update my posting here... I noticed that they were "voluntarily" taking Revitalash off the market while they reformulated. Coincidentally, they were using a drug called bimatoprost that was in the original (older version) Jan Marini formula that was confiscated by the FDA recently. Just wanted to let anyone know the latest update!
Well, with high hopes, I started using Revitalash once a day as suggested. I cannot tell you how much it burned when I put it on. The website said some people had experienced irritation initially, so I continued to use it to see if it would die down. It continued to be very uncomfortable, so I would have to skip a day here and there to give my eyes a break. But I was a trooper—and used it all the way through the 10 weeks.
The good news is that I did notice a difference in my lashes. I felt like they were longer, but they seemed very weak still. If I rubbed them at all, several would fall out. It may have been my “natural loss” but it seemed like more lashes than that, and it was that way whenever I rubbed them or took make-up off at night.
I would say for length, yes, you will get that, but if they end up falling out, you aren’t getting to keep them after all. Overall, for the price and the irritation I experienced, I was not a big fan of Revitalash. Even with longer lashes, it seemed like the negatives out weighed the positives on this one.
PS. I was looking at my review when Steve (my husband) first put it up and something just kinda jumped out at me. I usually just look at the price of something when I buy it and not necessarily how much I am actually getting--especially when it comes to cosmetics. I guess after seeing everything online, I noticed how little product I was getting for the price! What a bummer!
I was using eyelash extensions to get long, sexy eyelashes—bad idea! I finally realized that the more I used them, the worse my lashes were looking. And it took forever for them to grow out.
I was super excited to help Lisa and everyone else out with this eyelash product review.
Revitalash looked like a cool little treatment to test out so I was pumped when I got mine in. I used it for like two months straight. You have no idea how hard it was for me to remember every day! But it totally paid off!
Where they were short and broken, my lashes were filling in and growing in longer than the ones I had before. I didn’t really experience as much of the excessive fallout that Lisa mentioned—but I did have a lot of stinging and burning when I first applied it.
And at $150 I gotta admit, I was expecting no problems and really quick results. Don’t get me wrong, my lashes were definitely growing in longer and looking more voluminous, but for such a small amount of product and the time it took, I think some of these other products might be a better value.

TALIKA Lipocils Conditioning Gel
Ranking for overall value: 1.5 stars
User friendly: 60% (for relatively difficult application and little results)
cost: $38
amt: .35oz
Compared to the high prices of some of these other eyelash conditioners, at $38 I thought Talika was a steal. Now, if only it actually worked!
I’ll start off by saying that the instructions called for me to get this on to my eyelid and over my lashes, but gave me a big ole mascara brush to use. Now really? How does that work without me poking myself in the eye or getting it all over my eyelid? Obviously, I had some problems with application.
It’s been a month now and haven't really seen any dramatic difference at all. I should have probably known that a 100% plant-based product with no active ingredient couldn't possibly thicken or regrow my lashes faster than the normal growth cycle.
Maybe the vitamins and minerals in it are doing a little something to help them look shinier and healthier—even a little thicker and more voluminous when I applied mascara.
If you want to pick this up just as a volumizer and conditioner, I would say go for it and the price really isn’t too bad. But, if you actually want to grow your lashes, I would not recommend this product.
Leslie D.
Talika calls itself a French formulation that promises 100% plant based hair growth. I did not see any of this whatsoever. I watched my lashes each day and my mascara usage to see if I could notice any additional volume or extra length. While I was incredibly religious in my efforts, I only saw minimal changes. My lashes did seem to have more of a shine to them and they also seemed a little thicker. It was just hard for me to tell much change.
Also, it was somewhat awkward to apply this considering the brush was so large. I kept poking myself in the eye with it, which caused some irritation, but I don’t think that was from the formula. Oh yeah, the formula itself also wasn’t what I would call a gel base. It was much more watery than I expected.
If you want a moderately priced eyelash conditioner I would say Talika is a good choice, but just don’t fall for the idea of “growing” your lashes. I can’t say that it did for me and I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you either.

MAVALA Eye-Lite Double Lash
Ranking for overall value: 1.5 stars
User friendly: 60% (no real change)
cost: $15
amt: .33oz
After reading mixed reviews online, I still wanted to give Eye-Lite Double Lash a try. Call me the eternal optomist! The price was low, and the volume was much higher than most, so I thought sure! Why not? Right?
Double Lash said it would stimulate my lashes with its nutrient dense formula, but I claim that that this little bottle is purely a lash primer/conditioner. After a month and a half of using this product, I was still using the same amount of mascara to get the same look as before. Even my girls here said they really didn’t see any change.
But the best part is that every morning I had a little surprise when I woke up! Wondering what I found every morning? Try little white flecks of product on my eyelids and in my lashes. I had a residue every morning. I would say it didn’t really affect me, but it was a little annoying to wake up to that each morning.
This may work for you as a conditioning product and the price is very low, so you could easily work that into the budget. Just don’t expect a miracle out of a conditioner.
Jackie L.
NO THANKS! This was no help to me. If you want to grow your lashes, don’t even read the rest. Stop now, because this won’t do it!
When Jackie and I compared our stories, it was the same. I saw no change in my lashes. I’m not really that hard to please. I mean, for the price, I wasn’t expecting to have extension quality lashes, but at least some fullness and added luster. All I got with this product was dried white flakes on my lashes in the morning.
Disappointing for sure. I will not be purchasing this product again or suggesting it to anyone for that matter. I might check out some other products we have tried out though. I hate to pay the price, but I can tell from just looking at them that their products were working!

Rozge Cosmeceutical Renew Eyelash Revitalizer
Ranking for overall value: 0.5 stars

cost: $80

I picked up Renew Eyelash Revitalizer at a local salon. I hadn't heard much buzz about it, but after seeing it a few times in the salon, I thought I would give it a chance.
I followed the application instructions exactly and used it every night before I went to bed. I didn't experience any irritation at all, but I didn't see any results either.
After about three weeks and still nothing, I decided to do a little research to see if maybe I just wasn't being patient enough. Turns out it may take anywhere from 10-12 weeks to 6 months to see maximum results. I don't mind a few weeks, maybe a month, but waiting for 3-6 months is just ridiculous.
I am going to give this product one more week, but I don't have high hopes. I haven't seen any changes yet after 3 weeks and if iI can't tell by now, it probably isn't going to do me much good.
Lauren J.
One of my friends from out of town told me about the Rozge cosmeceutical company because she wanted to try one of their other products. I wasn't really that impressed by most of the products, but since we had talked about doing an eyelash product comparison, I thought I would try the revitalizer
It said it was 100% all natural and non-irritant, which is better than some of the other products everyone was trying. I did hesitate a little bit when i saw the price: $80 is expensive for a little tube of some eyelash revitalizer, but if it did what it promised, I would probably pay twice that.
First of all, 100% all natural sounds great, but it also means there is nothing really active in it. If it is made of natural ingredients, what is really making the lashes grow? I can tell you that after two full months, I saw no difference with my lashes and am pretty upset that I paid that much for 7 ml.
I am going to be sending my tube back and asking for a refund.

Home remedy: Castor oil or Olive oil

Mom was kinda a hippie so she had done the home remedies for EVERYTHING when I was growing up. I always thought she was crazy. I just about fell out laughing when I read about this on a few beauty blogs/postings online. I still say mom is crazy!
I coated my lashes with either olive oil every night for a little over a month. They seemed softer and more lustrous. There really wasn’t any growth at all, which really wasn’t a big surprise to me.
I’d say, if you are happy with the lashes you have and just want to condition your lashes, this is a very inexpensive option.
Sandy N.
I thought this was a great conditioning treatment. When I was little, I remember being in beauty pageants and my mom would put hot oil treatments on my hair to make it more moisturized and shiny. So needless to say, it wasn’t really a great leap for me to try it on my lashes.
I did this “treatment” for about a month and noticed my lashes were very shiny and soft. They did not grow, which was the point of this little experiment, so I can’t very well give it a good review for that. However, I will continue to use this treatment on occasion to keep my lashes feeling and looking lustrous.
